Who am I?
My Name is Dylan Mancuso, I am the owner of Cuso’s Bikes and Cuso’s Creamery, located in the heart of downtown. Born and raised in New York, I moved to West Palm Beach, Florida at the age of 15 where I started to take a greater interest in our community as a whole. Throughout the years I have lived in places ranging from Argentina to Arkansas and have seen many vibrant communities flourishing across the world. Four years ago I settled in California, originally moving to Monterey before making my way south to Santa Barbara on a road trip and never wanting to leave again. Over the past 3 years my partners and I have invested significant time and money towards our two businesses on State Street as we knew this was the place for us. The goal is to help highlight and make changes that ideally will help Santa Barbara remain a shining gem on the California Coast Line.
What is our mission?
The mission is to shed light on the problems many of us face, as well as what we are doing right or wrong to address these problems as a city. We will routinely post regarding matters of the Santa Barbara City Council, Downtown Santa Barbara Improvement Association, local efforts/events and much more. Improving the city we live in by highlighting where we can improve and make changes is at the core of this page.
Next up?
Currently downtown Santa Barbara is facing a major issue with its lack of a consistent police presence on State Street. We will be expanding more on that in the following articles as well as posting a petition where residents of the community will be able to help us advocate for a safer downtown. Keep your eyes peeled for more to come!
Thank you, Dylan Mancuso
