That Summer Feeling
A heatwave came rolling into the United States, sending summer weather from the west coast all the way to Tennessee! Skiers were spotted in t-shirts or even without shirts from Tahoe to Colorado, as they spent the day in 75 degree weather coming down the snow covered mountains. In Arizona, temperatures as high as 110 were recorded as residents braced for heat they never anticipated.
However, for the California Coastal town of Santa Barbara, the feeling of summer washed over us all. Crowds took to the street in force, and our farmers market was a buzz. Families were out cycling, and above all, it felt like the town was full again. Restaurants had waits, and every small business owner was working there hardest. This is what Santa Barbara is meant to be, a flourishing town were community members can thrive downtown and at our incredible waterfront.
